At the heart of this Pre-School are the dedicated staff.
They all show such enthusiasm and commitment to all of the children and their individual needs.
Haughley Pre-school operates in Haughley Village Hall and opened in 1971.
We cater for children from 2 years to 5 years old, Monday to Friday. You can find a list of term dates and session times on the admissions tab at the top of this page.
Our aim is to provide a consistent facility for pre-school learning in the local community,
Provide a caring, happy, safe and secure environment in which the children can learn to interact sociably with others, Enhance the development and education of pre-school children,
Involve and work with parents and carers to ensure that individual needs of their child are met, enabling them to work towards the Early Learning Goals (ELGs) for the Foundation stage.
Haughley Pre-School is a registered charity, which is run by an elected committee of parents and carers and members of the local community.
The committee are responsible for staffing, finance, ensuring matters relating to health and safety are in place, the production and updating of all relevant information and documentation, and complying with registration requirements in accordance with the Children's Act 2004.
Regular committee meetings, usually attended by all staff members, ensure that designated roles and responsibilities are being met, that the Pre-School is able to operate in accordance with it's policies, also that ample opportunity for group discussion is available in order to reach joint decisions on policies, provisions and planning.
